Phil has a lifetime of industry experience and qualifications that inform the advice he provides to clients, including:
- Sales, marketing and senior executive roles in national and multinational agribusiness organisations, and in ‘virtual’ roles as a consultant.
- Professional consultant since 1989. Specialist in agribusiness.
- More than 400 consultancy assignments including business diagnostics, business planning, marketing, export market development and the creation of new markets for innovative products and business solutions.
- 2,000 meetings in 25 countries over 25 years for the purposes of collecting market intelligence and negotiating international contracts and commercial agreements with and on behalf of new and existing exporters.
- Teaching experience as Agribusiness Discipline Leader for Agribusiness at University of Queensland and responsible for coordinating postgraduate and undergraduate courses on agribusiness marketing and export.
- ‘Research for Development’ experience gained from leading a major ACIAR agribusiness project in Philippines and contributing to others in Vietnam and Philippines.
- Qualifications include a PhD in Organisational Culture and Agribusiness Marketing, Master of Business Administration, Master of Marketing, Diploma of Applied Science in Agriculture, Graduate Diploma of Marketing and a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education, and he’s a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Director’s Course.
Certified Management Consultant status is awarded only to management consultants who demonstrate the highest ethical behaviour and who have the highest level of skills and experience. Less than 1% of all consultants achieve this standard.
